DealShare is a unicorn, focused on serving the new 500 million Indian users from non-metro cities and rural spaces. As a leading e-commerce company, they offer great deals on everyday essentials that are locally sourced and delivered. The DealShare app is specially designed for their non-tech savvy TG, and sports a simple UI/UX coupled with the support for vernacular languages. Besides that, the app is gamified to ensure consumer delight; one such game is where you can share the product deals from the app with friends and families to avail discounts.

Funded by Tiger Global, Matrix Partners India, and Falcon Edge Capital, DealShare is changing the dynamics of retail for the non-tech savvy consumers in India.

  • To carve out a unique identity in a crowded consumer tech space
  • To communicate the differentiated business model without being preachy
  • To convey the multiple levels of impact created (social, entrepreneurial, and digital) without being boastful (articulating how DealShare enables and empowers local brands, entrepreneurs, and communities)

What We Did

First things first, we dived deep into the company insights, understood what makes DealShare, well, DealShare. With this understand we began:


  • We organised multiple FGDs and conversations to understand the DealShare differentiator.
  • We crafted a distinct visual tone and brand tonality to communicate this.


  • We scripted and shot founder videos as well as corporate and culture videos to help the leaders extend their influence to the right talent.
  • We revamped the career site to enhance the design language, add more pages, elaborate on DealShare’s differentiators, and make it more appealing to the talent pool. Talent-centricity is the way to go!


  • We made memes! We ideated and created a series of hiring meme’s for roles like Product Managers, SDEs, UX Designers, etc (while the memes did not get posted, making them was quite an experience).
  • We ran hiring campaigns – leading the targetted talent pool to apply directly on LinkedIn

Social Media

  • Created platform-specific content for LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Glassdoor, and Ambition box
  • Leveraged LinkedIn to share hiring posts, company tech updates, leadership speaks videos, employee benefits, and company differentiators
  • Launched “Life@DealShare” to promote the company culture and engage the talent pool on Instagram, FB and Twitter
